SHAWN NEWKIRK

Coach Newkirk has played an instrumental role in guiding the Union Redhawks to over 400 victories, including three Class 6A State Championships in 2006, 2010, and 2018. Recognized as the 2013 District Coach of the Year and the 2018 Tulsa Area Coach of the Year. He has received multiple accolades from the Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association (OBCA), including serving as the OBCA President from 2019 to 2021, Coach of the Year (2018), 6A Coach of the Year (2018), and induction into the OBCA Hall of Fame (2018). His strategic insight, coupled with a genuine interest in the holistic development of his players, has set a standard of excellence that extends beyond the baseball field.
